Longtimber Woods in Ivybridge is a place I go to restore my soul. It is painted from a reference photo that I captured during the lockdown. It was a misty, drizzly day and I was venturing into the woods for the first time alone with my new camera. I felt excitement mixed with trepidation as I wondered if I should head back, having always been warned as a female not to go into woods alone, or whether to go a bit deeper. I decided to continue a bit further, to push my boundaries, and that is when I saw this clearing the puddle reflecting the light, hence the name of this piece, Journey Deeper.
